A classic spaghetti alla puttanesca. A neighbour's husband used to travel a lot. Watch out for salt because all of the ingredients are already very salty.

- 500g spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic, halved
- 1 punnet cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 glassful pitted Kalamata olives
- 10 anchovies
- 1 tablespoon capers
- 1 teaspoon dried red chilli flakes
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- sprigs of fresh parsley (to garnish)

- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Add the spaghetti and cook for 8 minutes.
- Heat oil in a frying pan, add the garlic. Cook for 1 minute, then add the tomatoes. Add the olives, anchovies and capers. Continue to cook and stir occasionally, till thickened.
- When spaghetti is ready, drain and toss with the sauce. Sprinkle with chilli flakes and chopped parsley.
- Garnish each plate with the sprigs of parsley. Serve.
